This
year's NASHVILLE PR 3200 meet
will again be held at Brentwood Academy on Saturday, November 16th -
one week after most state championship meets. I had the pleasure to meet the event organizers Guy Avery and Billy the Toad in Nashville just about a month ago. They shared their passion with me as we shared cross country and track and field ideas over lunch. Whether you cross country season will end after your state meet or you are preparing to race in a post season meet such as RunningLane Championships this fun meet is for you!
This meet allows JV and varsity runners from all over the country, to parlay their cross country fitness into a fast track time. Many use it as a final prep to sharpen up for the big postseason events like Running Lane, Foot Locker Regionals and Nike Regionals.
This meet is all about PR's and fun.
Every heat is paced to ensure optimal race times.
The meet also allows athletes to select from many heat options, that best match their personal time goal for the meet.
Last year, 107 runners recorded official PR's!
This is a fun and rewarding meet and this year promises to have a much larger turnout with the entire spectrum of the running community participating, from an Elementary 800m, a Middle School 1600m and High School & Open 3200m races.
The meet runs like clockwork and PR's are announced after each heat.
This year, a special TOAD 2-MILE for elite runners has been added, with early sign-ups including elite Tennessee runner, Claire Stegall (Nolensville HS), looking to race sub-10:00 in the Girls' Toad 2M and Independence's Asher Oates is looking to shatter the 9:00 mark in the Boys' Toad 2M!
Registration closes soon, so be sure to sign up for what promises to be a super fun and exciting meet. Complete meet information is available on the tn.milesplit calendar.
