It's time to vote for the Alabama Boys and Girls Performer Of The Week!
First off congratulations to the winners of week one: On the girls side it is was Ty Cason from Chelsea High School, for the boys it was John Shoemaker from Oak Mountain!
What a week we had with the crazy amounts of wind and rain that came through the Southeast. Despite the weather it didn't dampen some amazing performances from around the state!
Week 2 Performances.
Ladies first, again Emma Brooke Levering of Homewood continues to impress, as she ran 18:35 in the muggy and somewhat sloppy conditions at Southern Showcase, placing 8th in the championship race.
Sarah Tole of Auburn was less than a second behind Emma Brooke in her 5k debut on the season and finished 9th in the Championship race at the Southern Showcase.
Rose Betts of Brewer High School ran away from the field at the Fairview Invitational with her 18:26 and winning by nearly 90 seconds.
On the boys side I've decided to not hold a vote this week and Luke Alverson of James Clemens who opened his season with an absolutely amazing performance running 14:49 and winning the Southern Showcase is your Week 3 winner!
