Alabama Performer of the Week: 9/7

It's time to vote for the Alabama Boys and Girls Performer Of The Week!

First off congratulations to the winners of week one:  On the girls side it is was Grace Goldman of Hartselle, for the boys it was William Por of McGill-Toolen!

Check out some of the top performances from around the state in Week 2 of the 2024 Cross Country Season.

Ladies first, Emma Brooke Levering of Homewood continues to impress, opening her season campaign at Chickasaw Trails cruising to the easy win in the Large School race.

Maddyn Conn of White Plains blasted the course at Oakville, as she cruised to win the Small School Girls race by 58 seconds and setting a new personal record!

Ty Cason of Chelsea opened her junior season with a win and a speedy 18:28 over the 5k course at the Early Bird Twilight.


On the boys side there was John Shoemaker of Oak Mountain who took home the win in the Large School Boys race at Chickasaw Trails.  John displayed hit patented late kick to take down Jack Bowen of the McCallie School.

Shawn Stephenson of Northridge had a big day at the Gulf Coast Stampede, where he finished 2nd overall and opened his Junior season with a 13 second personal record.

Kenneth Alonso of McAdory finished second at the Early Bird Twilight opening his junior season just off his all time best over the 5k distance.
