2022 was yet another historical year for Alabama High School Track and Field, with perhaps some of the best cumulative performances in a single season in Alabama High School Track and Field history. From state records and top-tier national marks, several athletes put down phenomenal marks during the 2022 Alabama Outdoor Track and Field season.
Charlie Sexton (Auburn HS) - 100m / 200m - Sexton ran the AL#1 all-time 100m and AL#3 all-time marks in the 100m and 200m running 10.15 & 20.93.
Mac Conwell (St Pauls) - 1600m - Conwell ran 4:09.76 at the AHSAA State Track and Field 4A-7A in 90+ degree heat.
Evan Hill (Scottsboro) - 3200m - Hill ran the AL#2 all-time mark in the 3200m (9:01.74) AHSAA State Track and Field 4A-7A.
Patrick Davies (Bayside HS) - 300H - Davies had the fastest 300H mark in the last four years running 37.09 at the Angelo Harris Invitational.
Jaggerd Moore (Hewitt-Trussville) - High Jump - Moore cleared 6-10 at the AHSAA 7A - Section 3 Mountain Brook which was an inch higher than the nearest mark in 2022.
Maddox Hamm (Scottsboro) - Pole Vault - Hamm led the nation in the pole vault last year also setting the AL all-time record at 18-1.
