What was your most memorable meet and why?
Either State Cross country this year getting State Runner-Ups with the team or winning the 800 in my last high school race. These two races impacted me so much and showed me that hard work really does pay off and to just be patient in the process.
Where did you face your biggest competition?
Definitely at state, but I am thankful to have my teammate, Maddy Conn, to run with who helps to push me everyday which is competition in itself.
Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most and why?
The State 800 was so special to me because it was the first time I had won a State Championship and it was also my last race as a high school athlete.
If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your running career in high school?
I would have started sooner and would have taken it more seriously freshman and sophomore year.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome during your HS Track career?
Not meeting my goals and knowing I was much faster than the times I was putting out.
What will you miss the most?
I will miss my team and having my running buddy to run with all the time.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Don't stress yourself out too much and go out and have fun!
What are your post-high school or college plans? Who would you like to say thank you to?
I plan to run cross country and track at Jacksonville State University. Thank you to my family, friends, team, and coaches for always being there for me and for helping me see my potential and striving to help me get better.
