It's Maddox Hamm's world and we're all living in it. Just when you think he can't go any higher, the
Scottsboro junior continued his unbelievable indoor season by clearing a CrossPlex record of 17'06" in
the pole vault. At 17'06", he missed the first two attempts and all eyes in the facility were on him.
Talking about his mindset entering the third jump, he said, "When it comes down to a situation like that,
I try not to think too much about it." Up and over, he went on the third try. They moved the bar up to
17'10". He took one attempt and called it for the day. Maddow knows it's possible, it's just going to take
more energy later in the competition to clear the higher bars.
