High School: Red Level High School

What was your most memorable meet and why?
My most memorable meet is the 2021 Sectionals meet. I beat all my PR's and overall I had a great time taking pictures of my teammates goofing off and also got some action shots.

Where did you face your biggest competition?
I faced my biggest competition at 2021 State meet. There were so many talented teams. I had never run against some of the teams I did so I had no idea how good they were.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most and why?
Making it to state this year and going up against many talented teams and still coming in the top 5 in both the 4x1 and javelin would have to be one of my biggest accomplishments.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your running career in high school?
If I could do it all over again I wouldn't beat myself up for messing up or not having a good race because it did nothing for me in the end. I would've just told myself I can do better next time instead of giving up.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome during your HS Track career?
The most difficult obstacle would have to be finding out in the 10th grade that I had developed heart problems. I sat out my entire 10th-grade season. From there on out, I pushed myself to the best of my ability. Some days were harder than others and some days I just couldn't run but I never let it stop me.

What will you miss the most?
I will miss my coaches the most. They taught me to love a sport I had never thought of doing. They taught me what a team was and how great it feels to win. They love me and support me in everything.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
I would tell younger athletes to not beat themselves up if they mess up or don't do good. We all have our bad days. Just push yourself harder tomorrow, and forget what happened yesterday.

What are your post-high school or college plans? Who would you like to say thank you to?
I plan on attending LBWCC and enter the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
