
Cooler temperatures make for hotter times and faster racing in the MHSAA. We now have over 1100 boy runners competing in the MHSAA. Of the top ten athletes, all but one have improved their times in the last two weeks.
Chase Rose, Oxford High blazed the Saltillo course to take over the season lead from Christian Balcer, East Central. Looking at the top athletes this weekend will probably the only time when all of the could race each other. When you consider that the top ten are in three separate MHSAA Classifications they do not face each other many times in a season. Oxford High, D'Iberville High, and Tupelo High are Class 6A. Brookhaven High, Saltillo High, and East Central are in Class 5A. Keegan Leverett, Saint Stanislaus in the lone Class 4A athlete.
