My most memorable meet is my sectionals meet. That's where I made the most friends and won my section two years in a row in the 800m.
I faced my biggest competition at state and I'm thankful for being able to race against that level of competition.
My biggest accomplishments are last year my 4x4 relay team won state and this year I placed third in the 800m at state to break a school record.
If I could do it all over again I would focus more on cross country. I only ran for one year and I feel like that has a big factor in how you compete in the 800m.
My biggest obstacle I've ever faced was me pulling my groin in the fall of 2017. It took me all through indoor and even until early outdoor to finally get over that.
What I will miss the most is my teammates. We were truly a family that has an unbreakable bond and I will remember those guys forever.
My advice to the younger athletes is to not take this time you have for granted. Your high school years are going to fly by and in no time you'll be right where I'm at.
In the future I will be attending Troy University for ROTC and I plan on walking on the track team.
I would like to firstly thank my parents for everything they have done for me and allowing me the opportunity to run track. I would like to thank my best friend Xavier Rogers for always encouraging me (and always beating me in the 400). And last but not least, I would like to thank my coach Major Whitaker.
