How will the Competitive Balance Affect Classifications?


The AHSAA Central Board approved a new rule today that will affect successful private schools in the state of Alabama.  Called "Competitive Balance," the new rule will affect the attendance multiplier private schools use when calculating classification as a member of the AHSAA.

HOW IT WORKS:

State Meet Results are the factor being looked at for XC, Indoor, and Outdoor and would be awarded additional"points" as stated below:

1st or 2nd Place - 4 pts
3rd or 4th Place - 2 pts
5th - 8th Place - 1 pts
