What was your most memorable meet and why?
My most memorable meet would be the hoover optimist relays, because that was the first outdoor meet i PR''d in ran a 50 i think, coming off of running 53-54 in indoor ..
Where did you face your biggest competition?
My biggest competition was last year 2014. Hoover meet 4x100 relay anchor. i had to run against jaalen Jones from Thompson. it was pretty crazy.
Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most and why?
out of all of my accomplishments, id when i started back running a week after i got my wisdom teeth out. i mean come on . who comes back after having mouth surgery done, and their gums still half healing? no one unless you want to run with a dry socket.
If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
if i could do it all over i would change the training i did i could of done a whole lot better my freshman year and sophomore year.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
i really didn't have any difficult obstacles besides figuring out how to attack that last 100 in a 400. and running the 800m for the first time. cause not many sprinters can run a 800 meter race.
What will you miss the most?
Ill miss from my freshman year all the role- models i had to my upcoming senior year. hopefully after all the years i had running track i can be someones role model . ill also miss the great friends i made through out my 4 years of running track.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Any young athlete weather you're in soccer, track, swimming or cross country. just work hard at everything you do trust me it pays off you'll have people who doubt you & people who will help you. but in the end its all about you and how far you come and how hard you work. keep the training up and eating right.
What are your post-high school or college plans?
Well i plan to do summer track after high school if possible. and as for college i plan to attend The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Thinking about running track there. & also study Engineering. i plan to become a Train engineer/ Working on the Railroad. and as a bonus to working on the railroad. i was planning on having my own tv show about it takes place in Birmingham Alabama to all over the U.S. , taking people on a journey of what its like to be a railroad conductor/ worker from a young age til when ever i decide to retire. its going to be a challenge to make it happen.!
Who would you like to say thank you to?
i would like to say thank you to my MOM, Friends, and family for helping me and pushing me in my running career. i would most likely say thank you to coach Huber and coach Jennings for making me the track athlete that i am.
