What was your most memorable meet and why?
My most memorable meet was definitely sectionals of cross country this year we got second overall and it was when our team really came together and forged that strong bond that took us into indoor and outdoor track
Where did you face your biggest competition?
I faced my biggest competition ironically at the Furman invitational,hosted by the university of Furman, in the 5k there were I placed 20th with a 17:04 every kid in front of me broke 17:00
Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most and why?
I think winning going 8:25 in the 4x8 at county we battled up against bigger schools and proved that we weren't just just the best in 5A but that we could compete with the big dogs.
If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
A lie would be to say nothing, but I would have enjoyed it more I feel like exceptional runners get caught up with winning and getting pr's we forget to enjoy it
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
I got a hernia during my junior year and had to get surgery midway threw outdoor season
What will you miss the most?
The team and how close we got and all the goals that set for the future that I plan to have some part in.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Cherish every second of every race even that 3rd lap of the mile when you feel like you want to quit, practice just as hard as you race
What are your post-high school or college plans?
I am attending the university of Troy where I plan to try and walk on to their cross country and track and field teams
