9 year old Tim Lacoste of Independence, LA competed for Bartolina Athletics and was the youngest boy in the competition.  Lacoste who is going in to the 4th grade has been vaulting for 3 months.  After driving by Erica  Bartolina's complex on a regular basis, Lacoste and his mom decided to stop in and see what all the tents and people were about.  They lucked up as it was an off day and only Bartolina herself was there.  One quick 30min less and the 9 year old was hooked.  Lacoste opened up his competition at 5ft clearing 5, 5-6, and 6-0 on first attempts.
