Mikiah Brisco (Baton Rouge) and Jada Martin (MLK) are the top two in the field and both are under 11.8. Quanesha Burks follows in third with an 11.95PR and is the top seeded Alabamian in the field.
200M Dash
Jada Martin (MLK) and Macquita Stalbert (McDonough) are the top seeds in the race and both are under 24 seconds. Caitland Smith is the top Alabama seed 5th at 24.41.
400m Dash
Marquita Stalbert (McDonogh) is the only person in the field under 54 seconds.
800m Run
Lauren Jackson (Dunwoody) (2:12.35) and Kathryn Lazarchick (AL #1/UMS Wright) (2:13.14) are seeded in the top two positions. This race could possibly be the closest race of the day on the girls side. The field is only seperated by a few seconds.
1600m Run
Carmen Carlos (McGill) (4:49) and Ann Sisson (Mountain Brook) (5:07), both from Alabama, are the top two seeds. Carmen has not been in a mile for a few weeks and has been focusing on pacing her self in the two mile. With such a breakout 2mi a few weeks ago at FSU, she might be in position to break in to the Top 5 in the nation.
3200m Run
Jessica Molloy (Mountain Brook) (10:53) leads the field by a substantial margain. Molloy, a sophomore transfer from Arizona has proven to be an aggressive runner and not afraid to take a race out at a faster pace. The #2 seed, Cassidy Hale (DuPont) comes in with a seed time of 11:06.
100 Hurdles
Kendall Williams (Kell) has the current US#1 time at 13.47. She won last year. She should win this year.
High Jump
Kendall Williams (Kell) is the top seed at 6-0. Shelley Spires (St. Pauls) is seeded second at 5-8.5. Williams has not been near 6-0 this season so it should be wide open for Spires.
Pole Vault
Four vaulters are over 12ft. The field is led by Aaliyah Walker at 13-0.
Long Jump
Quanesha Burks (Hartselle) and Kendell Williams (Kell) are the top two seeds. Williams PR in the event is 20-8.5.
Triple Jump
Alabama athletes are the top three seeds. Quanesha Burks (Hartselle), Raven Stewart (Guntersville) and Jakayla Hand (Opelika) Burks leads the field with a 39-8PR.
Discus
Berta Amelinaite (Huntsville) has thrown 143-7 earlier this season. She leads the field as the top seed.
Javelin
The top two seeds are a pair of teammates from Ruston. Alli Braswell and Kristen Clark, both at 137-7.
