You are invited to Athens Bibles 35th Cross-Country Invitational
WHEN: Thursday, October 20th
WHERE: Athens Sportsplex, Athens Alabama. One mile north of the Athens High School Football Stadium on US Hwy 31. Also, the sportsplex is mile south of the I-65 exit 354.
COURSE: The course will be flat and fast. Excellent Spectator course! The city has put crushed gravel on much of the course.
SCHEDULE: 4:00 Jr. High Girls / Boys 2 Miles (If the # of entrees is large, we will have 2 JH races)
4:30 All Varsity Girls 5K
5:10 All Varsity Boys 5K
There will be 8 separate divisions scored.
JHG A-3A, JHB A-3A JHG 4A-6A, JHB 4A-6A
VG A-3A, VB A-3A, VG 4A-6A, VB 4A-6A
AWARDS: T-shirts to the Top 20 in each var. division; Top 15 in each junior division. Award to the individual winner in each division. Team Trophies to the Top 3 teams in each Varsity division, and Top 2 teams in each Junior High division. Awards can be picked up after the results of each race are posted.
ENTRY FEE: $50.00 for each Varsity team (limit of 12 runners per team). For your 13th runner and up, please enter a B team at $3.00 per runner.
$40.00 for each Junior High team (limit of 12 runners per team). For your 13th runner and up, please enter a B team at $3.00 per runner.
$10.00 per individual entry (teams with less than 5 runners in a race).
T-SHIRTS: Special T-shirts will be sold.
FACILITIES: The Athens Parks and Recreation Sportsplex has plenty of parking and restroom facilities. Concession stand will be open!
