Mountain Brook won the Class 6A boys state championship last November with 44 points and a 31-second scoring spread -- one of the more thorough afternoons any Alabama team has had at Oakville.
There are few consequential changes to the new 5A, but most notable is the addition of Florence High School dropping down from the old 7A to 5A.
