MONTGOMERY—The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) released the declared lists for the NCAA East and West Preliminary rounds in track and field. The Alabama State University (ASU) men's and women's track and field program's have two student-athletes among those declared.
Senior
Delorean Peek, Detroit, Mich., will compete in the 400 meter dash. He qualified for the preliminary with the 38
th fastest time in the region at 47.20.
Tia Rolle, a sophomore from Nassau, Bahamas, has qualified for two events. She qualified for the 100 meter dash with the 28
th fastest time in the region at 11.53. She then qualified for the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.79, which is the 38
th fastest time in the region.
The NCAA East Regional will be held May 26-28 in Bloomington, Ind. The 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place June 8-11 in Des Moines, Iowa.
