MONTGOMERY—Alabama State University's track and field meet at the War Eagle Invitational at Auburn University was suspended today and will get back underway Saturday at 9 a.m.
The only events that were finished before the bad weather was the 1500 meter run and the women's javelin throw.
Kesia Derilus finished ninth in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:52.29.
Melissa Romelus also finished ninth in the women's javelin throw with a toss of 36.96m (121-03).
The bad weather that came through the area around 4:30 p.m. made the conditions unfavorable for continuing the invite. The meet is still scheduled to run through Sunday.
