NASHVILLE - The Alabama A&M women’s track & field team recorded 29 team points in the Boston-Moon Classic hosted by the Tigers of Tennessee State University this past Saturday.

Shaquina Phalo kicked off the winning for A&M with a victory in the 200 meter dash with a time of 2:15. Williams returned to take 10th in the 1500 meters, clocking in at 4:56.

Raven Dove placed 10th in the 100 meters hurdles (18.67) and also ran the 400m
hurdles in on minute and nine seconds to take eighth.

The 4x100 meter relay team of Quenecia Bentley, Amberly Jones, D’Arnca Bloodworth, and Brittany Scott placed fourth with a time of 49:27.

The 4x400 meter relay team of Takunia Carstarphen, Jenna Philpott, Elisa Tanksley, and Dalis Connell finished seventh with a time of 4:18.

In the field events Quenecia Bently placed fourth in the hammer throw, with a distance of 31.94 meters.

The Lady Bulldogs finished in seventh place out of 11 other participating universities.

The A&M men’s track team totaled the fifth most team points out of 10 colleges with 59.50 at the Boston-Moon Classic.

Nathan Stephens took first place in the men’s 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.62, while teammate D’Mitri Lewis was clocked at 54.54 and placed third for the Bulldogs.

Sean Delisser placed fourth in the men’s 200 meter run with a time of 21.90.  In the 110 meter hurdles Darius McDaniel and Stephens place second and fourth respectively, with times of 15.20 and 15.34.

Joaquennsi Eugene placed fifth in the discus with a throw of 31.58 meters.

Next up for the racing Bulldogs is a trip to Troy, Alabama on Saturday April 16, for the Coach “O” Relays hosted by Troy University.
