RESULTS
ATLANTA – The Alabama A&M men’s and women’s track teams participated in the Morehouse Relays hosted by Morehouse College on last weekend.
Shaquina Phalo placed second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:15.92 and third in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:56.28. In the 400-meter hurdles Taukania Carstarphen placed sixth with a time of 1:08.32. The Maroon and White 4x100 relay team finished ninth with a time of 52.33.
The Lady Bulldogs placed in 11th out of 13 teams with a total of 21 points on the day.
The Bulldogs Nathan Stephens placed first in the men’s decathlon with 5,791 total points. Marion Malone place fifth while Marcus Hart finished in ninth place, with a total of 4506 and 3637 points respectively.
Stephens also placed third in the men’s Javelin for A&M, with a distance of 45.23. Kwesi Toney finished fourth in the men’s 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.20 in the event. The Maroon and White 4x100 relay team placed sixth with a time of 43.33.
The Maroon & White men’s team finished fifth with a total 55.50 points.
Next up for the racing Bulldogs is a trip to Cookeville, TN next weekend for the Tennessee Tech Relays.
