The 1A division of the AHSAA State Outdoor Championship closed Saturday, May 2 at Cullman High School Stadium with Winterboro winning both team trophies - a 42-point margin on the boys side and a 41.67-point margin on the girls side.

Winterboro claimed the Blue Map behind senior Skyeler Green's triple jump title, the Bulldogs' relay haul (4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 sweep), and points across the sprints. Athens Bible School secured the Red Map almost entirely on senior Meredith Romans (shot put, discus double) and sophomore Kaylie Key, who swept the 800, 1600, and 3200 to anchor the runner-up score. Faith Christian's Annie Ricard won the high jump, and Marion County built its third-place finish on the 4x800 relay scoring depth.

Winterboro built a 65-point margin to take the Blue Map on the back of a remarkable individual performance from junior Carter Castleberry, who swept the 100, 200, 400, and high jump - and broke the 1A meet record in the 400 along the way. Sophomore William Shephard added the long jump and triple jump titles, and junior Kavarris Duncan doubled in the shot put and discus. Marion County captured the Red Map behind senior Carter Stephens (1600 and 3200 double) and the Red Raiders' meet-best 4x800 relay (8:58.24).
Meet Records
Carter Castleberry (Winterboro, 11) won the 1A boys 400 in 48.22, breaking the existing 1A meet record. He also won the 100 (10.65), 200 (21.07), and high jump (6-02.00) for a four-event sweep.

Sprints
Red Level senior Miracle Wright swept the girls 100 (12.27) and 200 (25.67). Carter Castleberry (Winterboro, 11) won the boys 100 (10.65), 200 (21.07), and 400 (48.22, meet record).
Jacksonville Christian Academy junior Mollie Mullinax won the 400 in 1:00.23 and added titles in the 100 hurdles (14.73) and 300 hurdles (46.34). Alabama Deaf senior Edson Rojas-Cavanzon won the boys 800 in 2:00.92.
Hurdles
Mollie Mullinax (Jacksonville Christian Academy, 11) won both the 100 hurdles (14.73) and 300 hurdles (46.34). Michael Hopkins (Francis Marion, 12) won the boys 110 hurdles in 15.09. Tyler Pointer (Winterboro, 11) won the boys 300 hurdles in 41.99.
Distance
Athens Bible School sophomore Kaylie Key swept the 800 (2:25.82), 1600 (5:18.72), and 3200 (11:48.84) - three event wins worth 30 of Athens Bible's 90.33 team points.
On the boys side, Carter Stephens (Marion County, 12) doubled in the 1600 (4:34.74) and 3200 (9:59.82).

Annie Ricard (Faith Christian, 11) won the girls high jump at 5-00.00. Pressley Kelley (Pleasant Home, 12) won the pole vault at 9-06.00. Ke'Lashia Shelton (Francis Marion, 11) won the long jump at 16-08.00. Skyeler Green(Winterboro, 11) won the triple jump at 34-04.00.
Meredith Romans (Athens Bible School, 12) won the shot put at 33-11.25 and the discus at 126-10. Lauren Thompson (Covenant Christian, 10) won the javelin at 104-06.
On the boys side, Carter Castleberry (Winterboro, 11) won the high jump at 6-02.00. Jack Tant (Faith Christian, 12) won the pole vault at 11-06.00. William Shephard (Winterboro, 10) doubled in the long jump (20-08.75) and triple jump (44-04.50). Kavarris Duncan (Winterboro, 11) doubled in the shot put (48-09.00) and discus (164-11). Lakendrick Agee (Alabama Deaf, 12) won the javelin at 163-00.
Relays
Girls: Winterboro swept all three relays - 4x100 (51.10), 4x400 (4:19.82), and 4x800 (10:42.12).
Boys: Winterboro won the 4x100 in 44.60, Francis Marion won the 4x400 in 3:43.06, and Marion County won the 4x800 in 8:58.24.
