AHSAA Class 3A State Outdoor Championship Preview: Cullman, May 1-2
The 3A division of the AHSAA 123A Outdoor Championship runs May 1-2 at Cullman HS Stadium. Below is a preview of the top entries by event, along with a projected team score based on seed marks and times.

TR Miller is the projected boys champion by a wide margin. Senior Cameron Clifton is seeded first in the 110 and 300 hurdles, Marquise English leads the triple jump, Alex Aldridge leads the pole vault, and Carl Stanton Jr. leads the shot put. The Tigers also seed first in the 110-hurdle prelims and stack the top of the 200 and triple jump fields with multiple entries. Whitesburg Christian, Westminster, and Alabama Cyber Tech are bunched closely behind in a competition for the runner-up spot.

Whitesburg Christian projects to win the girls 3A title comfortably with its deep roster and well rounded team scoring from jumps and throws. Mary Taylor is the top 800 seed, the Warriors hold five of the top eight 1600 and 3200 seeds, and they lead the seeds in the 4x800 relay. The pole vault is also a Whitesburg event - Kinsey Sackett (8-06), Mattie Sackett (8-00), and Felicity Poe (7-06) hold three of the top four spots. Lee-Scott Academy is the closest pursuer behind eighth-grader Ann Tate Persons(top 100/300 hurdles seed) and senior Janie Bell Robertson.

Weaver's Jaylee Carter (12.79), Thomasville's Imani Brothers (12.81), Lee-Scott's Lizzy Gregory (12.83), and Dallas County's Jaidyn Dixon (12.96) complete the top eight seeds.
Boys 100 Meter Dash
Lauderdale County's Richard Green (10.96) is the only seed under 11 seconds.
