This Week's Nominees:
Daniel Skandera, Warrior Homeschool (Alabama): Clocked 8:46.53 to finish 2nd in a field of 210 at the ASICS Carolina Distance Carnival, breaking his PR of 8:53.41 set last May at the HXN T&F Championships.
Taygan Harris, Scottsboro HS (Alabama): Put up a massive 62-6 to win the shot put at the Last Chance Invitational, a new PR improving from his previous best of 56-2.75 set last April.
Hunter Purdue, Hoover (Alabama): Won the long jump at the Hewitt-Trussville Invitational with a leap of 24-1.75, breaking his PR of 23-3.5 set at the same meet last April.
Devin Kouanvih, Hewitt-Trussville HS (Alabama): Turned in a pair of performances at the Hewitt-Trussville Invitational, winning the 200 in 21.24 for a new PR from 21.67 and placing 6th in the 100 with an 11.03. The #4 junior in Alabama in the 200 also ran 21.67 at the same meet last April.
Marcus Lee, Buckhorn (Alabama): Posted wins in two events at the Muscle Shoals Invitational 2, taking the triple jump at 48-2 and clearing 6-2 to win the high jump. Also competed in the long jump, finishing 8th with a mark of 20-7.25.
