BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference has named Jacksonville State's Andrea Dardas as the OVC Rifle Athlete of Month for December, the league announced on Tuesday.

Dardas swept both air rifle and small bore awards as she helped guide JSU past No. 11 Columbus State and a second-place finish in the Gamecock Invitational to close out the squad's Fall portion of the schedule.

Against Columbus State, the Essexville, Mich.-junior turned in a personal best in the small bore with a 586 mark. In the Gamecock Invitational, Dardas claimed the top spot in both the air rifle and small bore competitions with a 591 and 582 respectively.

Jax State returns to the range on Jan. 29 taking part in the Murray State Invitational in Murray, Ky.
