BRENTWOOD, Tenn – Jacksonville State junior guard Brittany Wiley has been selected as a Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference performer, announced by the league office at its annual OVC Basketball Media Day on Monday.

First year JSU Head Coach Annette Watts will look to Wiley to lead the Gamecocks during the 2010-11 season that gets underway on Nov. 14 against Stillman College at Pete Matthews Coliseum. Prior to the season debut, Jax State will host Georgia Southwestern in an exhibition contest on Nov. 7.

Wiley, a native of Carrollton, Ga., paced the Gamecocks a season ago with a 10.1 scoring average. The 5-11 versatile player also pulled down 5.6 rebounds per contest along with dishing out 2.3 assists per game.

The OVC also announced its 2010-11 predicted order of finish on the women's side on Monday as the league coaches and sports information directors in the conference picked JSU ninth in the preseason poll. Eastern Illinois was voted the league favorite followed by Morehead State and Austin Peay to round out the top three teams. Morehead State's Chynna Bozeman claimed preseason OVC Player of the Year accolades.
