JSU vs Georgia State Football Game to Air Live on CSS Television

Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS), the regional sports channel focused on sports throughout the south, has announced the Jacksonville State vs Georgia State football game will be carried live on the network on September 18.

It will mark the second appearance by the Gamecocks during the first three weeks of the football season, as JSU's season-opener at Ole Miss will also be carried live on the network.

“This is a great opportunity for Jacksonville State,” said JSU head coach Jack Crowe. “We are excited that fans across the southeast will be able to watch the Gamecocks play. The footprint of the CSS market is also our recruiting area and this will only enhance our recruiting efforts.”

Jacksonville State will play its first-ever game against Georgia State in the Georgia Dome on Saturday, Sept. 18. Kickoff is set for 12 noon central time.

CSS is a 24-hour sports channel that reaches more than 6.5 million homes in 13 states throughout the southeast.

Crowe also announced that Tim McGee, a defensive tackle from Columbia, South Carolina, has been cleared to practice with the team and worked out for the first time on Friday.

McGee, who graduated from the University of Memphis on August 15, played in 11-of-12 games for the Tigers last season. He is waiting to be cleared by the NCAA to play in the Gamecocks' season opener on Sept. 4 at Ole Miss, since he has already earned his degree.
