The Jacksonville State volleyball team opened practice for the 2010 on Monday, beginning its preparations to defend the Ohio Valley Conference regular season and tournament titles. The Gamecocks, who set a school-record with 27 wins last season, including the program's first NCAA Tournament win over Florida A&M, will open the 2010 campaign on Aug. 27 against Memphis in the Belmont Invitational in Nashville.
JSU's first home match is set for Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. against Kennesaw State. Admission is free to all of the Gamecocks' home matches.
