GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sprinters Dawn Hermanes and Tokeyah Jones capped off Alabama State University's women's track & field season Thursday at the NCAA East Regional held at North Carolina A&T's Irwin Belk Track.

The duo both competed in the preliminary heats of the 100m, but neither runner qualified for the quarterfinal heats as only the Top 24 times advanced.

Hermanes finished 38th with a time of 11.76 while Jones posted a time of 11.898 in finishing 48th.

The meet concludes ASU's women's track & field season. The Lady Hornets captured their fifth SWAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship this season. ASU also captured the SWAC Indoor title and just missed the season sweep after finishing second at the Cross Country Championship.
