NCAA Eastern Regional Results

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Jacksonville State's Andrea Hoke placed 14th in the javelin throw at the NCAA Eastern Preliminary Round held at North Carolina A&T State University on Thursday.

The Lyndon Kansas native posted the top 15 finish among 48 competitors with a throw of 143-feet, seven inches on her first of six attempts. Florida's Evelien Dekkers had the top distance of 165-feet, seven inches.

Hoke received the word that she had qualified for the NCAA Regional late last week. The sophomore broke her own JSU record and the JSU Gem of the Hills Invitational records on April 3 with a throw of 151-feet, 10 inches, which qualified her for the event.
