OVC Final Results
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Jacksonville State used some strong finishes on Saturday to claim fourth place at the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The meet was called with two events unfinished due to thunderstorms in the Cookeville, Tenn., area with JSUs in fourth with 74.50 points. Eastern Illinois won the championship with 212 points followed by Southeast Missouri State with 155.50 and Eastern Kentucky with 131 points.
Christina Tupper had a height of 19-feet, 1.28 inches in the long jump and then posted a distance of 38-feet, 11.75 inches in the triple jump, claiming in second in each event.
Page Harris was just behind Tupper in third with 37-feet, 2.25 inches in the triple jump.
Andre Hoke tossed the javelin 134-feet, six inches to take home second place in the javelin throw.
Latasha Sturkie qualified sixth in the 400-meter hurdles before clocking a 1:03.07 to finish third.

Latasha Sturkie and
Tasheilra Jones teamed to finish third in the 4x400-meter relay with a 3:52.45 while the 4x100-meter relay ran a 47.87 to finish fourth.
Laveeta Oliver came in seventh with a 12.53 in the 100-meter dash finals.
Bond ran a 56.38 to place fourth in the 400-meter finals and dashed to a 26.16 for fifth in the 200-meter dash finals.
Ashley Stovall turned in a 39:40.49 for sixth in the 10,000-meter run and
Amber Wiley claimed fourth in the pole vault with 11-feet, 5.25 inches.
Jacksonville State returns to action on Sat., May 15 at the Georgia Tech Reebok Invitational.
