JSU Softball's Doubleheader at Peay Rained Out

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The Jacksonville State softball team's twinbill that was scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday has been cancelled because of storms in the Clarksville area. The two teams will try to play a doubleheader on Sunday at 12 p.m. CT.

The Gamecocks (24-17, 10-6 Ohio Valley Conference) are looking to gain ground in the OVC race, but mother nature isn't cooperating for the second-straight week. Their three-game series at Southeast Missouri was rained out last weekend, leaving just six games to try and make up the two games they trail second-place Morehead State.

Sunday's forecast calls for a 90 percent chance of thunderstorms in Clarksville, but the Gamecocks are hoping to avoid losing more league games. They have had their last five conference matchups canceled because of inclement weather. Updates will be posted to www.JSUGamecockSports.com when they are made available.
