DICKSON, Tenn. – Jacksonville State is third after shooting an opening round of 295 on Monday at the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship, played at the par-72, 6,858 yard Greystone Golf Club.
Murray State shot a 2-under 286 to hold an eight-shot lead over UT-Martin's total of 294. The Gamecocks are one shot back at 295, while Austin Peay is fourth at 296. Tennessee Tech (297) is fifth, followed by Tennessee State (298), Eastern Kentucky (300), Morehead Starte (301) and Eastern Illinois (304).
Andres Schonbaum led the Gamecocks with an even-par 72 and is tied for seventh, while
Daniel Glidewell is tied for ninth with a score of 1-over 73.
Tom Robson turned in a 74, while
Gonzalo Berlin and
Nathan Bennett each shot a 76 to tie for 27th.
Murray State's Cameron Carrico and Tennessee State's Chris Seibel each shot a 2-under par 70 to hold the individual lead after Monday's opening round of the 54-hole event.
