JACKSONVILLE – Saturday's baseball doubleheader between Jacksonville State and Southeast Missouri State has been called off due to the significant threat of extended periods of severe weather in the Jacksonville area on Saturday.

The Ohio Valley Conference three-game series scheduled for this weekend has now been reduced to a pair of seven-inning games on Sunday at Rudy Abbott Field. The first game will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by the second game on Sunday.

Jax State and Southeast Missouri are both tied for first place in the OVC with identical 8-4 conference records, while Murray State also has a .667 winning percentage with a 6-3 mark.
