OXFORD, Miss. – Freshman Elizabeth Bond clocked a 55.80 on Saturday at the Ole Miss Invitational to become the first ever Jacksonville State track and field member to qualify for a national championship event.

The Marietta, Ga., native's time was also a career and season-best time, qualifying her for the 2010 USA Track and Field Junior National Championships. The event will be held in conjunction with the USA Track and Field National Championships on June 23-27 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
