Several Boys Rewrite the Record Book as Meet Produces Historic Marks
Several meet records fell over the course of the weekend, with the boys setting the tone all weekend long. From the sprints to the jumps, multiple performances didn't just edge past previous standards - they clearly reset them.
Boys 60m (1A-3A): Record Falls in the Finals
Landon Watkins of Pisgah High School ran 6.98 in the finals, tieing the previous meet record held by Trey Cunningham of Winfield City. Watkins' performance in the final as etched him along an All-Time Alabama great!
Boys 60m (6A): One Race, Two Runners under previous Record
The 6A 60m final turned into one of the fastest races of the meet. Christian Louis (Jackson-Olin) record of 6.80 was bested by not one, but two athletes. Carter Davis of Gulf Shores lowered the record to 6.76, while Jennings Hinz of Northridge followed close behind at 6.77, also breaking the previous record.
Boys 400m (7A): Flynt Delivers a Statement Run
Caleb Flynt of St. Paul's Episcopal posted one of the top quarter-mile performances in the nation, running 47.35 to break the 7A meet record. He surpassed the previous mark of 47.81 set by Joe Quez Keith of Sparkman, pulling away decisively in the final 150 meters of the race.
Boys Triple Jump (6A): Jackson Clears 49 Feet
James Jackson McGill-Toolen Catholic produced one of the meet's biggest field-event moments. His jump of 49-00.75 broke the existing meet record of 48-04.75 held by C.J. Jordan of Opelika. Jackson was the only jumper in the classification to reach beyond 49 feet, and his mark stood out across all divisions.
Girls Records Also Fall
The girls added several notable record-breaking efforts of their own throughout the meet.

Girls 3200m (7A): Reese Gonzalez (Hoover) ran 10:47.40, breaking the previous record of 10:49.83 held by Crawford West (Vestavia Hills).

Girls Shot Put (4A-5A): Cara Huff (Indian Springs) improved her own meet record by a wide margin, throwing 46-05.00 after previously holding the mark at 40-10.00.
