NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jacksonville State's Elizabeth Bond was named the Ohio Valley Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week announced by the league office on Wednesday.

The freshman from Marietta, Ga., won the 400-meter dash clocking a 56.30, just missing the meet record of 55.45 at the Gem of the Hills Invitational last Saturday. Bond also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a 25.54. Her 400-meter time is currently the best in the OVC while her 2000meter dash time is eighth.

Jacksonville State returns to the action on Saturday at the Ole Miss Invitational in Oxford, Miss.
