JSU Women's Golf Tied for Sixth Place

MORGANTOWN, NC – Jacksonville State is tied for sixth with a score of 317 after Monday's opening round of the 2010 Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate at the par-72, 5,869-yard Mimosa Hills Golf Club.

Elon leads the 15-team field with a score of 305, just ahead of Western Carolina's total of 306. Appalachian State is third with a 308, while William and Mary (312) is fourth and Wofford is fifth with a 313, just ahead of the Gamecocks.

Luz Armijo Fernandez is tied for 10th after shooting 35-41-76 on Monday. Laura Cutler shot 39-39-78 to tie for 24, while Lucia Fernandez is tied for 43 with an 81. Ashley Cox finished one shot back with a total of 82.

Jacksonville State will play the final round on Tuesday with William and Mary and Wofford at 8 a.m.
