MURRAY, Ky. -- The Jacksonville State men's tennis rallied for a 5-2 Ohio Valley Conference win over Murray State on Thursday at the Bennie Purcell Tennis Courts.

Murray State won two of three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead into singles. JSU's Nenad Marcec and Gustavo Holz won 8-6 over Jadir Semerisin and Mason Johnson at No. 2 doubles.

The Gamecocks won five of six singles matches, losing only at the No. 4 position to earn the win. Brian Kenyon defeated Ben Clos, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 and Axel Sunberg overcame a one set deficit to win 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2. Marcec downed Luka Milicevic, 6-4, 7-5 at No.3 and Holz won 6-3, 6-1 over Semerisin at No. 5. Igor Santos eased past Johnson, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6.

Jacksonville State wraps up the road trip against Eastern Illinois on Friday at 10 a.m. in Charleston, Ill.
