LIMESTONE SPRINGS – Jacksonville State shot a 36-hole score of 609 and is second after Monday's second round of the Samford Women's Intercollegiate, played at the par-72, 5,880 yard Limestone Springs Golf Course.
South Alabama holds a nine-shot lead after shooting 304-296-600, just ahead of Jacksonville State. Host Samford is third with a 614, while Louisiana-Monroe is fourth at 615 and UAB rounds out the top 5 with a 621.
Laura Cutler and
Ashley Cox are both tied for fourth place after turning in a 149. Cutler shot 74-75, while Cox carded a 76-73 on Monday. Lucia Fernandez fired a 79-75-154 for 17th, while Luz Armijo Fernandez is tied for 23rd with a 158.
Ornella Arrizon finished with a score of 160.
The final round of the 54-hole event begins at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, and the Gamecocks will play with South Alabama and Samford.
