JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State baseball team's game against Samford on Wednesday at Rudy Abbott Field has been postponed because of rain that has soaked the Jacksonville area.

The game, which was set to be the first of five home games in five days for JSU, has been rescheduled for March 24 at 6:30 p.m. The Gamecocks will have to wait until Thursday to open their weekend homestand, beginning with a 3 p.m. game against Michigan State. The Spartans will play Eastern Michigan on Friday at 12 p.m., before JSU opens a three-game series with EMU at 3 p.m. The weekend set with the Eagles will continue with single games on Saturday and Sunday, both at 1 p.m.

All four of JSU's games this weekend will be broadcast live on the JSU Radio Network with Mike Parris calling the action. The broadcast will also be available on the web at www.jsugamecocksports.com.
