DADE CITY, Fla. – Jacksonville State shot a 292 on Sunday to post a total of 878 to finish 12th at the USF Invitational, played at the par-72 Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
Florida Southern won the 23-team event with a total of 852, while Middle Tennessee finished second with an 857. North Florida was third with an 860, while South Alabama (864) and Xavier (865) finished in the top 5.
Garrett Burgess shot the low round of the event for the Gamecocks with a 5-under 67 on Sunday to finish with an even-par 216 to tie for 19th place. Teammate Andres Schonbaum also tied for 19th after carding an even-par 216.
Tom Robson turned in a 224 to tie for 55th, while
Gonzalo Berlin posted a 225 and
Michael Watson shot a 237.
Jacksonville State returns to the golf course March 14-16 at the Louisiana Tech Bulldog Classic.
