DADE CITY, Fla. – Jacksonville State posted a two-round total of 586 and is 12th after Saturday's second round of the USF Invitational, played at the par-72 Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
Florida Southern shot a 569 to hold the lead in the 23-team event, just ahead of Middle Tennessee's total of 574. North Florida, South Alabama and Xavier are all one-shot back in third place with a 575.
The Gamecocks were led by Andres Schonbaum with a 71-72-143 to tie for 12th place, while
Gonzalo Berlin is tied for 23rd place with a 145.
Garrett Burgess and
Tom Robson each shot a 149, while
Michael Watson carded a 160.
Jax State will play with Eastern Michigan and host South Florida in Sunday's final round at 8 a.m.
