Big Throws and High Stakes in the Circles

4A Discus:

Sanjay Polk (Satsuma) leads the field at 146-07, but Collier Reese (Westminster) and Conner Wellingham (Hokes Bluff) are close behind. Expect a battle near 140+ feet.

5A Shot Put:

Keviyon Lamons (Eufaula) headlines with a huge 49-05 mark, while Ramsay's duo - Karlos May and Chrisopher Lewis - are both seeded over 47 feet and ready to push the distance.

6A Discus:

Chandler Taylor (Ums-Wright) is the one to beat with a monster 174-07 seed, but Jamar Bankhead II (Paul W. Bryant) and Zachary Erickson (Spain Park) could make things interesting.

7A Shot Put:

Anthony Jones (St. Paul's Episcopal) is the top seed at 58-04.50, eyeing the 59-04.75 record. Hoover's Nigel Thomas and Vestavia Hills' Drake Renta lead a strong field aiming for the upset.

4A Boys Javelin:

Mason Bailey (Oneonta) enters with a state-leading 169-07, while Deshler's Jesse Jeffreys (164-04) and Westminster's Houston Scott (155-00) to round out the top 3 seeds.

5A Boys Javelin:

Nick Smith (Elberta) boasts a 169-07 seed, looking to break 170, with Jacob Bell (Corner) and Bo Davis (Demopolis) set to challenge.

6A Girls Javelin:

Cooper Garrett (Fort Payne, 132-07) and Emma Kate Dickey (Northridge, 129-01) lead a strong group, but Ella Meadows (Mountain Brook, 126-06) could also be in the mix.

4A Girls Long Jump:

Eva Armstead (Hatton) at 18-10 is the clear favorite, followed by Kyra Casey (Hamilton) at 18-01. A 19-foot jump could secure the win.

7A Girls Triple Jump:

Kyndall Brundidge (Opelika) is out front with a stellar 38-03, but watch rising star Trinity Milligan (James Clemens) and Katherine Lee (Auburn) for potential upsets.

6A Girls Triple Jump:

Annie Kerr (Mountain Brook) and Saraland's Karl Ezra Payton are the top seeds, both over 37 feet.

7A Boys Long Jump:

A stacked flight includes Nate Bradshaw (Vestavia Hills) at 23-10 and Hunter Purdue (Hoover) close behind at 23-03.25 - this could get electric.

7A Boys Pole Vault:

Omari Bryant (Hoover) comes in with a 15-00 mark, with Shaw Helfrich (Hewitt-Trussville) and Brannon Massey (Opelika) also over 13-07+. Clean attempts will be key.

4A Girls High Jump:

Anna Beth Stewart (Alexandria) and Lydia Northam (Ashville) both seeded at 5-02, with a group of others at 5-00 ready to join the mix.

6A Boys High Jump:

Several contenders sit at 6-02, but Spain Park's Jonathan Fonbah, Wetumpka's Tyrone Clary Jr., and Benjamin Russell's Cedarion Morgan (6-04) are best poised to take the top spot.

Throwing Depth: Ramsay and Hoover's programs are set to score big points in both shot and discus.
