KIAWAH ISLAND, SC – Jacksonville State shot a final round of 315 to post a 948 to finish 22nd at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic, played at the par-72 Oak Point Golf Club on Tuesday.
Miami rallied from seventh place and shot the low round of the day with a 289 to claim a one-shot win over Minnesota. The Hurricanes posted an 892, while Minnesota had an 893 and Augusta State finished third with an 895 in the 33-team event.
Lucia Fernandez had a 54-hole total of 229 to tie for 41st place to lead the Gamecocks, while
Laura Cutler finished one-shot back with a 230 to tie for 47th place.
Ashley Cox had a three round total of 241, while Luz Armijo had a 248 and
Ornella Arrizon finished with a 262.
Jacksonville State returns to the course on March 1-2 at the USA Lady Jaguar Invitational, hosted by South Alabama.
