JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State (0-5)  captured the doubles point before UAB (4-1) rallied to take four-of-five singles matches to post a 5-2 win on Thursday at the JSU Tennis Courts.

Rafaela Wenzel and Kristen Fuller won 9-8 at No. 2 doubles over Giorgia Romeo and Brittany DeFelice. Ralphaela Lima and Kimberly Ferris defeated Jenny Cape and Menanteau Moolman 8-6 at No. 3 doubles to give JSU the doubles point.

The Blazers captured wins at numbers one through five singles but had to rally to win third sets at No. 4 and No. 5 singles to put the match away. Lima downed Richole Berger at No. 6 for JSU's lone singles win.

Jacksonville State travels to play Alabama State on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Montgomery, Ala.
