MURRAY, Ky. – Jacksonville State's Brian Carstensen and Andre Dardas posted identical scores of 580 to share smallbore medalist honors in the first day of the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference Rife Championships on Saturday at Murray State's Spurgin Range.

Murray State scored 2273 to win the smallbore title with the Gamecocks trailing by four points with a 2269. Morehead State was third with a 2257 followed by UT Martin Mixed with 2252, UT Martin Women with a 2249 and Tennessee Tech with a 2204.

Monica Fyfe totaled a 561 and Matt Mackenzie finished with a 541 to round out the JSU shooters.

The air rifle competition begins at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the Spurgin Range where the OVC champion will be crowned.
