Maggie Kloak scored 18 points and collected eight rebounds to lead Eastern Illinois to a 60-43 win over Jacksonville State on Saturday at Pete Mathews Coliseum.

The Panthers captured their eighth straight win and improved to 14-8 overall and a league-best 10-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Jacksonville State lost its third straight game to fall to 6-15 overall and 3-10 in conference play.

Paris Hollingsworth scored a career high 14 points as the only Gamecocks in double figures followed by Karisma Boykin with nine points.

Eastern Illinois shot 48 percent in the first half going 12-of-25 from the field and was four-of-eight from three-point land, claiming a 34-20 lead at halftime. The Gamecocks shot 28.7 percent in the first half and missed all seven three-point attempts.

The Panthers shot 38.7 percent in the second half and finished shooting 42.9 percent for the game while the Gamecocks shot 28.8 percent from the floor and went two-of-12 on 3-pointers.

Kloak was the only EIU player to score in double figures with Dominique Sims and Chantelle Pressley adding nine points apiece. Leading scorer Ta'Kenya Nixon chipped in eight points along with six rebounds.

Jacksonville State hits the road for a pair of conference road games against Morehead State on Thursday at 4:15 (CT) in Morehead, Ky., and Eastern Kentucky on Saturday at 3 p.m.
