SASF Day 1 Results

CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Jacksonville State women's track and field team returned to action at the SASF Invitational hosted by Southern Illinois at Carbondale on Friday.

Chelsea Denson and Amber Wiley tied for 10th in the pole vault with a vault of 10-feet, eight-inches. The vault was a personal pole vault record for Denson, bettering her old mark of 10-feet, six inches.

Ericka Markiewicz vaulted 10-feet, two inches to place 17th in the pole vault.

Page Harris jumped 17-feet, eight inches to finish 13th in the long jump while Christina Tupper recoded a jump of 16-feet, 8 ½ inches.

The SASF Invitational continues with events scheduled to begin on Saturday morning and run throughout the day.
