BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second time this season, Alabama State University cross country runners Jephtah Kenei and Kesia Derilus swept the Southwestern Athletic Conference Runners of the Week honor, the league office announced Thursday.

The ASU duo helped lead their squads to strong showings at last weekend's Coach O Invitational in Troy, Ala. The men's squad tied for first as a team while the women earned a third-place showing.

Kenei paced the Hornets with a seventh-place finish in 25:56.19 over the 5K course, and Derilus posted a fourth-place finish after covering the 3,200m layout in 11:21.99.

Kenei and Derilus will join the rest of their ASU teammates Monday at the SWAC Championship in Baton Rouge, La.
