AAU Partners With USTFCCA For Future Learning Opportunities

The cornerstone of AAU Track and Field has always been its member base.

And while youth athletes have often (rightly) been the beneficaries of the huge success earned by winning major races and events at national championship events like the AAU Junior Olympic Games, coaches have largely played a pivotal role in helping their athletes find that success on the oval and in the field.

A recent partnership between the United States Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and AAU will ultimately give coaches within AAU's member population an incredible opportunity to further their education, including utilizing the USTFCCCA's Track and Field Academy.

"I am extremely excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for the members of AAU. Not only will we be able to avail ourselves to the wealth of konwledge of the coaching community, but the opportunity for personal grwoth and interaction is tremendous," AAU Track and Field's National Chair Charles 'Coach O' Oliver said. "AAUTF is a track and field development program and for us to be able to have personal interaction and to gleam knowledge from the best coaches in the world is a tremendous asset for us and the youth involved in our program."

The Track and Field Academy is an educationl resource and coaching certification program that educates leaders at all levels of the sport. The Academy includes organized instructions, including courses, certifications, endorsements and other areas of growth.

"We are thrilled to have an organization like the AAU, who does such an outstanding job of providing opportunities for young boys an dgirls in the sports of track and field and cross coutnry partner with USTFCCCA," said Sam Seemes, the CEO of the USTFCCCA.
